The Philippines: Big Life Updates
In roughly three and a half months I’ll be eating some of the best mango in the world (and doing other great things, too, of course).
Here are a few updates:
I am COMPLETELY funded on the AIM end of things.
I’m still in shock.
God tends to provide in the most incredible ways through the most amazing people and this time was no exception.
I am incredibly blessed.
I’ve also been working a little eBay magic lately – I managed to sell a lot of my gear from the Race for pretty decent prices. I’ve downsized my pack (from a 70L to a 35L, which is AMAZING and so much more comfy on my back) and my sleeping bag (thanks to Zadie Rook for her awesome gear insight). I’ll probably use these things on this particular trip, but they’ll also come in super handy in any sort of camping or adventurous endeavor I decide to embark upon in the coming years.
And there will be LOTS of those, I’m sure.
It’s been SO flooring and humbling to see the Lord provide at such a random time in my life. I don’t think I could ever get tired of it.
After all of that excitement, I’m only left with my plane ticket to purchase. I’ll find out more precise details on this in March, but current ticket prices for a flight to Manila are anywhere from $1500 to $2500 depending on the day. I’ve accrued enough Delta SkyMiles to chip off a little bit of that price, but by no means enough. If you can help, please click the “Philippines” link at the top of this page. It will take you to another page with more information on how to get involved.
Thank you so much, each of you, for your continued support of my wild adventures. None of it would be possible without you.
