Book Twenty-Five

My goal for several years has been to read 50 books in one calendar year – 52 weeks – but I have always fallen off the rails around 25 books. This year, I’m twice as determined. I will be posting short reviews of each book with my thoughts and any recommendations I received for the book as well as a link to purchase the book from Amazon, (though I recommend checking your local library first). If you have questions, leave a comment! If you want to follow my journey, find me on Goodreads.

I picked this up one night off of my roommate’s adorable drink cart and ended up reading it in one sitting. The play on classic literary characters and book titles brought me so much joy. I read several aloud to my roommate because they were too good to pass up. Each drink coincides with a literary title, such as “Gin Eyre” for Jane Eyre and the obvious “Tequila Mockingbird” for To Kill a Mockingbird. Federle also includes a concise but brutal synopsis of each novel. You’re guaranteed to laugh. If you enjoy drinks and classic lit, this is for you.
