Book Forty-Three

My goal for several years has been to read 50 books in one calendar year – 52 weeks – but I have always fallen off the rails around 25 books. This year, I’m twice as determined. I will be posting short reviews of each book with my thoughts and any recommendations I received for the book as well as a link to purchase the book from Amazon, (though I recommend checking your local library first). If you have questions, leave a comment! If you want to follow my journey, find me on Goodreads.

I received this as an Advanced Reader Copy from Harper Collins – my first ever! This is a wonderful read about women who defied social norms during WWII to risk their lives as radio transmitters in occupied France. If you enjoyed The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, you will enjoy this as well! I love these different perspectives of the World Wars that we are seeing more and more of these days. So much is yet to be told about life during those perilous times. While there were a few oddities in the plot, the betrayal and courage displayed here were incredible. This is a must-read if you enjoy historical fiction and the World Wars!
